Building modelling at the service of smart buildings
Residential and commercial buildings are responsible of about 40% of the total energy consumption.
The energy demand, in addition, will increase of 19% in the next years.
Considering also the climatic change problem, different strategies must be adopted in order to limit the energy consumption.
Among them, we must mention the design of smart controllers for HVAC systems (i.e. Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning). However, in order to produce an effective control system, a detailed model of the building is needed. It is in this context that our project finds its utility.
